After learning about the Alexa is a Human project and hearing Alexa Juliana Ard speak, I was moved to change the wake word on all my Echo devices. It’s going to take some adjustment, but it is soooooo worth it. Now we say, “computer” instead of “Alexa” to wake up the devices. #alexaisashuman #changewakeword
If you are interested in changing your Echos’ wake word, you can go into the Alexa App on your phone, select the Devices option, select Echo & Alexa, select a device, click the gear icon for Device Settings, locate the Wake Word option, and select one of the four options that is not Alexa, for example, computer, Echo, or Ziggy. Or, you can tell Alexa, “Alexa, change the wake word to computer.”
Please consider changing your Echos’ wake word right away. Thanks.
